About Dean Oaks Infant site

Dean Oaks Primary School was formed when Oaklands Community Infant School and Dean Row Junior School were amalgamated in September 2007. They are currently situated on separate infant and junior sites until the new building has been completed, on the junior site, on target for completion in 2009. The amalgamated school builds on the high standards of education the two individual schools offered, to provide modern purpose built facilities where children are prepared for the 21st Century.

The surroundings include pleasant outdoor areas with wide expanses of grass, hard surfaces, adventure playground and a grass covered mound. There is also a small copse and garden areas for the children to use.

The school playgrounds and grassed areas are enclosed by fencing. The buildings have an efficient security system in place with the main doors having an entry code. All visitors sign in and out after using the buzzer to attract the attention of the school secretary. Visitors wear an identification badge around school.

The cloakrooms and classroom doors hace access for people with a disability. The sites also include an independent day nursery and baby unit. Admission details and fees are available from the school secretary.
